Martha, a teenager from Hackney who has experienced her first taste of love... Followed by her first experience of heartbreak. She doesn't have a friend in the world. Her Nan is suffering from dementia and then, when Martha discovers she is pregnant, life gets too much for her. Why bring a child into the cruel and painful world? Better to end it now, when the baby can't feel a thing and it can released back into the kind and gentle universe. This might just be the one good thing Martha has ever done. 

The play follows her last hours and looks deeper into her wounds and dreams. It follows her up to the last minute as she dangles her toes over the edge of the Thames, ready to hurl herself in it asks the question- Actually why is life worth living?
